overview
This series of 2 day live programs will train internists to provide appropriate treatment for hepatitis C patients. Through this program, participants will be trained to fully understand the management of hepatitis C from epidemiology and disease progression to treatment and patient education, with addition of HIV/HCV coinfection management. The program consists of class lectures and case discussions. Our plan is to provide continuous education to produce capable internists in treating hepatitis C to expand the reach of hepatitis C management in Indonesia.
Objectives
- To improve internists competency and capability in making diagnosis, treatment decisions and adequate observation of chronic hepatitis C and HIV/HCV coinfection.
- To establish a standard educational program for physicians, especially internists, certification in management of chronic hepatitis C and HIV/HCV coinfection.
